BTS' Kim Seok-jin became the honorary ambassador for Visit Seoul Tourism on August 21, 2024. South Korean media outlet Lady Kyunghyang reported that the organization's 'Feel Soul Good' campaign featuring the Grammy-nominated South Korean musician will be broadcast globally via international media such as BBC.
On August 29, at 1 PM (KST), the Seoul Metropolitan Government's official tourist YouTube channel, VisitSeoul TV, will host the premiere of the first Seoul tourism promotional video, 'Feel Soul Good - LOVE,' featuring BTS' Jin. The campaign video is divided into three segments: LOVE, INSPIRE, and FUN.
This campaign will be shown on prominent outdoor media in Jakarta and New York Times Square. To maximize the campaign's promotional impact, prominent international TV networks like the BBC will broadcast it globally including the US, Europe, and Asia.
The film is a collaboration between the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourist Foundation, led by CEO Gil Ki-yeon.
BTS' Jin's Feel Soul Good campaign showcases several Seoul attractions
Seoul's charms will be promoted in several ways during the campaign time, with the publication of two virtual outdoor commercials (FOOH) and three short films starring BTS Jin in addition to the three major episodes. Starting on September 2, three video shorts will be aired on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's YouTube channel, VisitSeoul TV, every week.
The first Feel Soul Good - LOVE segment includes Seoul's major attractions such as the Ttukseom Hangang Park, Ikseon-dong, Bugak Skyway, Hangan Bus, Seoul International Fireworks Festival, and Namsan Seoul Tower.
The second segment Feel Soul Good - INSPIRE, will be aired on September 5 and the Feel Soul Good - FUN, will be premiered on September 12, 2024.
The INSPIRE video segment will include Seoul's popular fashion, food, hiking, and meditation experiences. In contrast, the FUN video segment will consist of Seoul's floating gas device 'Seoul Dal', and various other interesting activities such as bungee jumping, and more.
For the unversed, BTS was appointed as the honorary ambassador of Seoul Tourism in 2017. Since then, the K-pop powerhouse has been featured on the campaign promotional videos for eight years in a row.
In other news, BTS' Jin was discharged from the military on June 12, 2024. Since then, he has engaged in several solo activities such as hosting a fan meet, carrying the Olympic Flame at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and becoming the Global Ambassador for luxury brands such as FRED and GUCCI.
He is also set to release his debut solo album by the end of 2024. He released his personal reality show, RUN JIN, on August 13. Episode 4 of the show will be aired on BTS' YouTube channel, BANGTANTV, on September 3, 2024.
