BTS' Jin's solo song Super Tuna reportedly saw an increase in sales by more than 17000 percent in the United States. According to Forbes, before Jin's military discharge, the song had sold over 1,400 copies in the United States. It also recorded sales in single digits as it was not a new release, and the track was not being promoted.

However, according to Luminate, Super Tuna reportedly witnessed an impressive increase in sales, recording a 17,500 percent increase. According to the media outlet, fans have showcased their love for the artist by streaming it on different music service platforms.

On June 18, Billboard announced through X that the song re-entered the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart due to increasing unit sales and has spent two weeks in total at the No. 1 spot. This marks the second time Super Tuna has topped the chart since it first peaked on November 22, 2024.

Notably, Jin has two more songs that have topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, including The Astronaut, co-written by British rock band Coldplay, released on October 28, 2022. The other song, Yours, served as the original television soundtrack part 4 of the K-drama Jirisan starring Jun Ji-hyun and Joo Ji-hoon and was released on November 7, 2021.

BTS' Jin surprised fans with Super Tuna extended version at 2024 FESTA

On June 12, Jin became the first member of BTS to conclude his national duties and was discharged from the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.

He was welcomed by the press and his fellow bandmates RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Later, Suga joined them at the HYBE Headquarters in Seoul, and the agency posted a photo of all members together on their official social media page.

Fans anticipated the Dynamite singer would perform his solo tracks the next day. On June 13, at the 2024 FESTA event, the BTS vocalist surprised them with an extended version of Super Tuna. The song is popular among ARMYs as it showcases the bright and comical side of Jin. Upon its release, the song went viral on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Super Tuna's original version, which is not too long, was released on December 4, 2022, on Jin's birthday. With the extended version, the Epiphany singer performed unheard lyrics along with an exciting choreography.

Besides this, the BTS vocalist also performed other solo songs like The Astronaut and Moon. Furthermore, he performed the hook step of Jungkook's solo track Seven as a challenge and participated in the "Cat Walking On the Frozen Han River" challenge.

Meanwhile, Jin is the only member who has yet to release a solo album. Recently, on June 13, Newsis, a South Korean media agency, reported that the BTS vocalist is planning to drop his first-ever album in the second half of 2024.

Furthermore, Jin commented on a post about Jimin's upcoming solo album MUSE on Weverse. The comment seemingly hinted at his upcoming solo music release. He stated,

“Jimin-ah, after you, it's me. I'm going to sing too.”

Netizens and fans believed that it could be about his solo album. However, BIGHIT MUSIC has yet to release an official statement about the reports.
