The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) accredited BTS Jungkook as a songwriter for his latest single, Never Let Go. This takes his KOMCA song credits to 23. The idol is a full member of the association, which is considered a massive milestone in the Korean music industry.
For the uninitiated, to be eligible for advancement to full member status, a junior KOMCA member must have maintained membership for three years or longer, receive a minimum of 30 million won (21,631.44 USD) in annual royalties from their intellectual material, and be chosen by the board of directors.
Notably, Jungkook became the fourth BTS member to be a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) in January 2024. Previously, he contributed to songwriting for his band's songs such as RUN, LOVE IS NOT OVER, MAGIC SHOP, STAY, and Run BTS, as well as his solo singles, Dreamers, Still With You, My You, and more.

BTS' Kim Namjoon aka RM, Jung Ho-seok aka j-hope, and Min Yoongi aka SUGA are the full members of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). Namjoon has 219 KOMCA song credits, followed by SUGA's 169 credits, and j-hope with 144 credits.
As a non-profit organization in South Korea, the Korea Music Copyright Association oversees rights pertaining to mechanical recordings and creation, public performance, and broadcasting of musical compositions.
Jungkook joined the elite fleet in January 2024 after earning his 22-song credit. Now, as of June 27, 2024, his total increased to 23 with his June 7 drop, Never Let Go, which he released as a tribute to his fans on the occasion of BTS FESTA.
