BTS’ Jungkook's solo song Standing Next to You has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify, creating new records, making GOLDEN the first and only studio album by an Asian solo artist with multiple songs with the same stream mark. On August 9, 2024, Standing Next to You reached 800 million plays on Spotify, becoming the second fastest song by a K-pop solo artist to achieve this feat after Seven.

It is also the third fastest track by a K-pop artist besides Seven and Dynamite by BTS to reach this feat. The title track has now joined Jungkook's debut single Seven, which is also a part of GOLDEN, as the two songs to surpass 800 million streams on Spotify.

Besides these two songs, Jungkook's solo track Left & Right alongside American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has also surpassed 800 million streams, which was released in 2022.

Standing Next to You was released on November 3, 2023, and took 281 days to amass 800 million streams, surpassing his fellow group member Jimin’s solo song Like Crazy, which took 294 days to do so.

BTS’ Jungkook's Are You Sure?! with Jimin

On Thursday, August 8, the first two episodes of the highly anticipated travel variety show Are You Sure?! starring BTS vocalists Jungkook and Jimin were released on Disney+. The K-pop idols had shared their plans on filming a travel show together in the past, which finally turned into a reality as they embarked on a journey together to the US, Japan, and South Korea last year.

The first two episodes showcased their time in the US, where they were seen enjoying American food, riding motorcycles, and surprisingly bumping into a fan. Jungkook also pulled a hilarious prank on Jimin by leaving him behind at a grocery store while the Like Crazy singer looked for him. Besides this, the maknae was seen looking after Jimin when he got sick during the filming.

The two members have been serving in the military together through the buddy system since December 2023; notably, the show was filmed before their enlistment. Jungkook and Jimin are expected to be discharged from their national duties in 2025.

Meanwhile, Are You Sure?! episode 3 is scheduled to be released on Thursday, August 15, on Disney+.
