BTS's Jungkook released Golden on November 3, 2023, through BigHit Music. The Golden Maknae's documentary JUNGKOOK: I AM STILL to release in September 2024
On August 14, 2024, BigHit Music officially announced the premiere date for BTS Jungkook's much-anticipated documentary JUNGKOOK: I AM STILL through a press release shared on Weverse.
According to Bighit Music, the documentary would narrate BTS's Jungkook's eight-month tiresome and exciting journey of emerging as a global pop star. The agency cited the idol as a talented and ever-growing artist who has dominated the international music scene. The upcoming project would also shed light on the idol's heartfelt love for the fandom ARMYs.
The documentary would feature the idol's significant moments in creating his debut solo album, Golden, and the performances related to it. BigHit Music mentioned in their press release about the upcoming content:
"Catch a sneak peek into how Jung Kook prepared for his first solo album GOLDEN, scenes from the lively, internationally loved performance at various venues, and never-before-released behind-the-scenes footage of Jung Kook’s inner-most thoughts —all in his first documentary film."
ARMYs could book tickets to watch the documentary film in cinemas. Global booking would start on August 21, 2024, at 6 am PDT, while South Korean fans would be able to secure a ticket from September 4, 2024. Booking is expected to launch in Japan on September 12, 2024. The tickets could be purchased from the Eticket Interpark and Global Interpark websites.
In recent news, Jungkook has been featured in an ongoing travel variety program, titled Are You Sure?!, with fellow group member Jimin. The three episodes have already been aired through the streaming platform Disney+ on August 8 and 15, 2024, respectively. The show would feature eight episodes and run until September 19, 2024. The duo would be seen visiting countries including the USA, Jeju Island, and Sapporo.
The male artist enlisted for mandatory military service on December 12, 2023, and was subsequently deployed to the Fifth Infantry Division, where he would continue his remaining service as an active-duty soldier.
