On June 12, BIGHIT MUSIC dropped the lyric video of BTS maknae Jungkook's latest digital single, Never Let Go, creating a huge buzz on social media. The video garnered attention online for showcasing the lyrics of the song with some references to Jungkook's tattoos.

The lyric video began with a piece of paper that had an emoticon, a crown, and a heart placed in the manner similar to the tattoo on Jungkook's hand. The paper then folds into a plane, which leads the viewers around the city, and the illustration appears in other parts of the video as well.

Never Let Go is a gift to ARMYs (BTS’ fandom) as a part of the ongoing content release of FESTA 2024. Every year, the K-pop boy group celebrates its debut anniversary in June, which falls on the 13th of the month. During the FESTA, the group releases new music and holds exciting events for the fans to enjoy. While the BTS member is serving in the military, his agency released the song Never Let Go on June 7, 2024.

Jungkook's ‘ARMY’ tattoo in GOLDEN concept photos’ backdrop and its significance for the BTS member

Recently, Jungkook's Never Let Go lyric video has captured fans’ attention due to the incorporation of the artist’s tattoos in the video. Notably, this is not the first time the agency has incorporated his tattoos into the design of the concept videos and images.

Previously, for the backdrop design for the Seven singer's first solo album GOLDEN's concept images, the agency added the “ARMY” tattoo in the form of graffiti. The concept photos showcased the BTS vocalist posing while sitting in front of the backdrop.

0613, the date that marks the official debut of BTS, the emoticon, the crown, and many other tattoo designs were also observed to be seen on the GOLDEN concept photos’ backdrop.

Following the release of the album GOLDEN, Jungkook and Kim Taehyung appeared on Suchwita, the talk show led by his bandmate Suga. On Suchwita episode 21, released on November 4, 2023, on YouTube, Jungkook opened up about his ARMY tattoo and described the significance it holds for him.

The 3D singer stated that the album has songs that speak about love, and he wished that the fans received comfort and solace through the songs.

He said,

“My first tattoo was of you guys. It was you, and I‘d like to be by your side all the way to the end. Let's be happy!”

Jungkook's Never Let Go tops iTunes Chart

Never Let Go entered the iTunes chart at No. 1 in 100 countries soon after its release on June 7, 2024. The song topped in countries the chart like the United States, Australia, Japan, Egypt, India, Germany, and more.
