The music video for Jungkook's first solo single Seven reached the milestone of surpassing 400 million views on YouTube on the morning of June 20, 2024. Released in July 2023, the video had previously surpassed 300 million views by December last year, adding an additional 100 million views in about six months.

With this, it became the fastest music video by the singer to surpass this milestone. It also became the second music video by Jungkook to pass 400 million views on YouTube after Left and Right. Over the past few months, the song has achieved numerous accolades and still stands as one of the biggest debuts by a K-pop artist.

Jungkook's Seven unlocks a new achievement

Upon its release in November 2023, Seven made a significant impact on the global music market. It achieved impressive rankings, including No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the UK Official Singles Chart. It even broke BTS’ record by spending four weeks on the Billboard charts at No.1 alongside Dynamite.

Additionally, it became the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. According to Billboard's "2024 International Power Players," Seven was the most popular song in over 200 countries/regions worldwide, excluding the United States, showcasing its status as a popular hit.

On June 20, it added another feather to its cap by becoming Jungkook’s fastest solo music video to reach the 400 million views mark on YouTube. It also currently stands at a record whopping 10 million likes. Additionally, as soon as it was released, it became the second-highest-watched music video in YouTube’s history after PSY’s grossing song Gentleman.

According to Naver, The Seven music video is characterized by its cinematic storyline. It depicts the BTS member's persistent efforts throughout the week to prove his love for his partner, culminating in a touching scene where the couple walks hand in hand.

Seven is a passionate song featuring an addictive melody that blends acoustic guitar with the rhythms of UK garage, a genre of electronic music that emerged in the early 1990s in the UK. The song expresses a desire to spend every day of the week with a loved one.

Ever since Jungkook left for his mandatory military service in December 2023, there haven't been many updates about his whereabouts. However, his solo work has been continuously charting and breaking various records.

The most recent appearance of Jungkook was seen during his bandmate Jin's military discharge. On June 12th, Jin officially completed his mandatory army tenure and all the members including the youngest member were present to welcome him. The members even took a group photo, marking their first full group picture in a very long time.
