On Friday, June 28, the 2024 SEC Awards revealed the winners of its honorable awards ceremony. During the event, it was announced that the three K-pop artists—BTS' Jungkook and V, and BLACKPINK's Jennie—bagged trophies for their excellence in 2023-24.

The SEC Awards, also known as the Séries em Cena Awards, is a Brazilian Award show created in 2019. It revolves around the ideology of recognizing and awarding contributions to several aspects of the worldwide entertainment industry, including movies, TV series, music, and internet influencers.

While only three K-pop artists won at the 2024 SEC Awards, several other artists were nominated. BTS' Jimin received three nominations for his works as a soloist, and TWICE was recognized in the category of 2024 National Group.


2024 SEC Awards: Complete K-pop artist winners list

The 2024 SEC Awards was an online ceremony held on June 28. The winners of the event's several categories were announced through its official Instagram page, and a total of three K-pop artists topped this year's winners list. BTS' Jungkook, BTS' Taehyung, and BLACKPINK's Jennie were awarded in several different categories.

BTS' Jungkook

BTS' V

  • Best Actress in an International Series (HBO's The Idol)

Where are BTS' Jungkook, V, and BLACKPINK's Jennie currently?

BTS' Jungkook and V are currently serving their mandatory military service. Both K-pop idols enlisted in the military in December 2023 and are currently completing their service. Jungkook enlisted through the Buddy System with Jimin, where the two K-pop idols will be each other's support system during the taxing enlistment period.

V, on the other hand, entered the same camp as RM. The two successfully completed their basic three-week training. Taehyung is serving in the 2nd Army Division in Chucheon as a participant in the military police force. However, the members have also been rolling out their pre-recorded solo activities simultaneously.

Recently, Jungkook released a single, Never Let Go, as an ode to ARMYs in celebration of the group's 11th debut anniversary. V released a single, FRI(END)S, in March and is expected to roll out another solo project, TYPE_1, which is expected to be a photobook release with inclusive merchandise.

BLACKPINK's Jennie, otherwise known as Jennie Kim, recently launched her own label, OA (OddAtelier), which is expected to manage her solo promotions and schedules. Additionally, the idol revealed that she is gearing up for her first solo album as an independent artist, and fans have been eagerly looking forward to the same.


Fans have been grandly celebrating the recent wins from these K-pop idols at the 2024 SEC Awards. They are also pleased to witness the ever-increasing fame and popularity of the K-pop industry.
