On September 10, 2024, BTS' Jungkook bagged the MVP Plaque on Tokyo FM's K-Star Charts 'Pop-K Top10 Friday' awards for his latest solo track, Never Let Go, in July and August. He was honored with the mentioned milestone for the consecutive two months, cementing his status as one of the most loved K-pop idols in Japan.

Those unversed, BTS' Jungkook dropped Never Let Go on June 7, 2024, through BigHit Music. The track was described by BigHit Music as a heartfelt tribute to the fandom and was released to commemorate the group's eleventh-anniversary of FESTA.

It was penned by songwriters, including Anton Martin Mendo, Bak, Jess Bluu, Melanie, Jungkook, Joy Fontana, Michel Lindgren Schulz, Sim Fane, and Tobias Dekker. It was produced by prominent producers, including Bak, Sim Fane, Star Boy, and Outtatown.


BTS' Jungkook's Never Let Go charted at the No.97 position on the US Billboard Hot 100

Following the release of Never Let Go through the audio streaming platforms, the track charted at the No.97 position on the United States Billboard Hot 100. The track also rose to the No.3 position on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, emerging as the third-best-selling song in the United States on June 17, 2024.

It also charted on different Japanese music charts, including Japan Hot 100 at 33 position and Japan Combined Singles (Oricon) at 44 position. Never Let Go also entered Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Chart and Global 200 at the No.12 and No.20 positions, respectively.

In recent news, the idol would release his much-anticipated documentary titled JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL on September 18, 2024, through cinemas worldwide. According to a press release dropped by the South Korean social media platform Weverse, the documentary would showcase the journey of talented and ever-growing artist Jungkook as he emerged as a global pop star in the international market and shed light on the star's heartfelt love for the fandom, ARMYs.

According to the Weverse, the upcoming documentary would feature the following endeavors of BTS' Jungkook:

"Catch a sneak peek into how Jung Kook prepared for his first solo album GOLDEN, scenes from the lively, internationally loved performance at various venues, and never-before-released behind-the-scenes footage of Jung Kook’s inner-most thoughts —all in his first documentary film."

Alongside fellow group member Jimin, BTS's Jungkook has been participating in the ongoing travel variety show Are You Sure?!. You may watch the eight-episode series on the US streaming service Disney+.

Jimin and Golden Maknae were deployed into the military on December 12, 2023. After completing five weeks of basic training, he was assigned to the Fifth Infantry Division.
