Nubia Magazine UK named BTS' Kim Taehyung as the "Most Handsome Man in The World 2024" on September 25, 2024. The publication conducted a global poll survey across 163 countries. As a result, the BTS sensation surpassed popular celebrities like Regé Jean-Page, Justin Bieber, and Robert Pattinson, to clinch the title.

Previously, in June 2024, Geesforgeeks ranked the most handsome men in the world, and the BTS member came on top. He eclipsed global celebrities including Ryan Reynolds, Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, and Hrithik Roshan. Similarly, in 2022, The Business Standard reported that the K-pop idol topped the worldwide list.

Notably, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has topped the Nubia magazine list as the "Most Handsome Man in The World" in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024. In 2022, the BTS singer was placed second while Xiao Zhan came first.

Kim Taehyung, also known as V from BTS, debuted in 2013 and became popular for his deep voice and striking visuals. In 2023, he released his first solo album, Layover, featuring five tracks: Slow Dancing, Blue, For Us, Love Me Again, and Rainy Days. The title track, Slow Dancing, debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 20, 2023.

He then collaborated with the American R&B singer UMI and featured on her song, wherever u r. UMI released the song on December 30, 2023, on Taehyung's 28th birthday. However, the BTS member wasn't present to promote the song as he enlisted in the South Korean military on December 11, 2023, to serve his mandatory service.

On March 15, his agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, released his English digital single, FRI(END)S. The song was recorded and its music video was filmed before he left for the military. It became the first song of 2024 to hit No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart across 100 countries as of May 11.

Meanwhile, he was the only BTS member to enlist in the special forces in the Republic of Korea Army. After finishing his five-week basic military training, Taehyung graduated as one of the six Elite Soldiers on January 16, 2024, alongside bandmate Kim Namjoon. He was deployed to the Special Duty Team (SDT) division on January 18.


Recently, he was spotted at IU's HEREH World Tour: THE WINNING Seoul Encore concert on September 22, 2024. The Layover singer-songwriter took official leave to attend IU's 100th concert performance alongside his bandmate, j-hope.

Meanwhile, j-hope is set to be discharged from the military on October 17, 2024, whereas Taehyung will return in June 2025.
