BTS’ Kim Taehyung will launch the vinyl version of his first solo album, Layover, on September 20, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC announced on Weverse on Tuesday.
“We are excited to announce the release of BTS member V’s album Layover on vinyl. V’s first solo album, Layover, released in 2023, beautifully captures the artist’s emotions and has been widely cherished for showcasing his natural, unfiltered self. In response to the overwhelming love and support for V and his album, we are excited to announce that Layover will be available on vinyl,” the statement read.
Kim Taehyung dropped Layover on September 8, 2023, with the title track Slow Dancing. The R&B and Jazz album included pre-release tracks like Love Me Again, Rainy Days, For Us, Blue, and Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.). The tracklist for the Vinyl version will also be the same.
The pre-release of the Vinyl version of Layover is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 11 am KST. It will be officially released in South Korea on Friday, September 20, 2024.

BIGHIT MUSIC is set to release the vinyl version of BTS’ Kim Taehyung's album Layover, which was released before he began his military service on December 11, 2023. The album will mark its first anniversary on September 8, 2024.
Due to the increasing love the album received, BIGHIT MUSIC decided to drop the Vinyl version of Layover. The upcoming version of the album includes an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, two photocards each, six poster sets each, and a 12-page postcard booklet.
The singer has entered international charts like iTunes, Billboard, and more with the songs from the album. On June 2, 2024, five songs from the album — Slow Dancing, Love Me Again, For Us, Blue, and Rainy Days — sold over 100,000 units in the United States.
In July 2024, the B-side track Love Me Again became V’s first song to surpass over 700 million streams on Spotify.
Kim Taehyung's recent activities
The BTS vocalist V recently appeared as a guest on the third episode of Jimin and Jungkook's travel show Are You Sure?!. The show was recorded and filmed before the members enlisted in the military.
On the Are You Sure?! episode released on August 15, Kim Taehyung joined his fellow bandmates Jimin and Jungkook on Jeju Island, where they indulged in different activities, including go-karting, sandbag jumping, rock climbing, bike riding, and more. The Slow Dancing singer being chased by barefoot Jimin with food went viral on social media.
Kim Taehyung is fulfilling his national duties as a member of the military police unit in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do Province.
