On August 1, 2024, HypeAuditor, an influencer marketing software, published its report on the Top 1,000 Instagram Influencers as of August 2024. BTS' Taehyung ranked #8 overall and #4 in the music category, making him the highest-ranking Asian celebrity on the list.

Taehyung has achieved impressive rankings with just two brand endorsements, Celine and Cartier. According to a report from Hankyung Business, Celine saw a major boost after ending its contract with Shinsegae International and entering the South Korean market directly. The report, published in April 2024, shows that Celine Korea's sales reached 307.2 billion won and its operating profit was 17 billion won last year.

These figures represent an impressive increase of 513.2% in sales and 591.1% in operating profit compared to the previous year. In 2022, Celine's sales were around 50.1 billion won, but this figure surged more than sixfold in the following year. Similarly, operating profit nearly septupled, with last year's net profit reaching 14.6 billion won.

Additionally, Naver reports that luxury brand Celine experienced a sales boost of over 51% following Taehyung's appointment as its ambassador. Richemont, the parent company of Cartier, revealed that the jewellery brand achieved record sales of 14.2 billion euros (21.49 trillion won) for the fiscal year from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, a period that coincided with V’s ambassadorship.

This surge in performance coincides with the period when the brand appointed the idol as its ambassador.

Despite being less active in the public eye due to his military service since December 2023, Taehyung maintains the highest authentic engagement level among those above him.

For instance, the top three on the list—footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and singer Taylor Swift—have authentic engagement numbers of 6.9 million, 6 million, and 3.9 million respectively, with average engagement likes of 8.9 million, 7.5 million, and 5.4 million. In contrast, Taehyung's authentic engagement stands at 8.8 million, with an average of 11.1 million likes per post.

Detailed data shows that the Love Me Again singer's largest audience comes from the United States, representing 17.5% of his total followers. His estimated reach is between 5.3 million and 16 million per post, and between 5.6 million and 16.7 million per Instagram story. The estimated value for a post ranges from $77,500 to $232,000, while for a story, it ranges from $35,000 to $100,000.

His earned media value (EMV) ranges from $7.5 million to $25 million, which is considered excellent.

The BTS idol has been serving in the military since December 2023 and is expected to rejoin the group and return to the spotlight in 2025, once all members have completed their service.
