“BTS are the seniors they never had” — Fans react as TXT’s Soobin leaves a welcome message as j-hope gets discharged from the military

BTS' j-hope returned to civilian life after getting discharged from his mandatory military service on October 17, 2024. His bandmate, Kim Seok-jin, welcomed the ARSON rapper-songwriter, as other BTS members reportedly couldn't get official leaves due to the ongoing tension between North Korea and South Korea.

Following his discharge, j-hope arrived at the HYBE headquarters and went live directly on Weverse in his military uniform. As he greeted his fans, he showed a placard on which the TXT members had left handwritten messages welcoming the rapper. The ARSON rapper-songwriter thanked the K-pop group for their kind gesture and feelings.

Later, TXT's Soobin went live on the same day.

"Congratulations on completing your military service. Even though all the hyungs [older brother] in BTS are like that, Hobi hyung's is a hyung who makes you happy when you're next to him. Hobi hyung's always greeted us since we were trainees (10 years ago) He even knew my name and always checked up on me," said Soobin, when his fans, MOAs, enquired about the letter to j-hope.

"Hobi hyung always greets and approaches us first, and invites us to chat. When Hobi hyung was away, it felt a bit empty, his energy was missing but now he’s back so I'm glad we can meet again," Soobin continued.

Fans lauded the relationship shared between BTS and TXT members. A fan lauded BTS for being kind seniors to their junior idol groups and wrote on X:

Both BTS and TXT fans flooded social media over j-hope and Soobin's interaction.

"BRING MY BTXT FAMILY BACK FASTER PLEASE. We NEED that Bighit family picture updated!!!" a fan wrote.

"I think I just teared up a little :’((( hobi is so genuinely kind, he leaves such a profound impression on everyone <33 Hope he treats txt to a meal soon," another fan added.

"These boys really are coming for me today. It’s a BTXT love fest," one other fan wrote.

Others noted how Soobin always talks about BTS members with respect and lauded him for his thoughtfulness.

BTS' j-hope is reported to film content with Jin

On October 17, 2024, Herald POP reported that BTS' Jin and j-hope are set to film content together. Previously, on a Weverse livestream, Jin had told his fans that he planned to kidnap the ARSON rapper-songwriter the moment he got discharged. Jin had shared that he would make j-hope film content for his variety show, RUN JIN.

"As soon as j-hope is discharged, I will kidnap him and take him to the filming location," shared Jin during the livestream.

Reportedly, on October 17, while live-streaming j-hope's discharge, Korea Now broadcasted Jin's hilarious plan of kidnapping the ARSON rapper. Furthermore, after his discharge, the ARSON rapper-songwriter held a live broadcast on Weverse where he told his fans that he would film anything that Jin wanted.

"I heard that seokjin hyung wanted to do something after I discharge? Ask him to do it, whatever it is that he wants," the rapper said.
