On July 25, 2024, BTS secured six spots on Spotify's '2024 Global Impact List South Korea.' Members RM (Kim Namjoon), V (Kim Taehyung), j-hope (Jung Hoseok), and Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) were featured for their solo singles. Taehyung's FRI(END)S ranked No. 2, j-hope's Neuron (with Gaeko & Yoon Mirae) and I wonder... (with Jungkook) ranked No. 11 and No. 27, respectively, and Jungkook's Never Let Go peaked at No. 9. RM's Come back to me and LOST! were ranked No. 19 and No. 22, respectively.

BTS took a brief hiatus from group activities in June 2022 as they announced their decision to enlist. However, the members released solo albums and singles before enlisting. The eldest of the group, Kim Seokjin, enlisted on December 13, 2022, after releasing his debut solo single, The Astronaut, in October in collaboration with Coldplay. Jin was discharged from the military on June 12, 2024.
j-hope released his debut solo album, Jack in The Box, on July 15, 2022. Following this, he released his solo single, On the street (feat. J. Cole), on March 3, 2023. j-hope enlisted in the military on April 18, 2023, however, he released his second solo album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, on March 29, 2024. The BTS rapper-songwriter will return from the military in October 2024.
The third BTS member to enlist was Min Yoongi, aka SUGA, on September 22, 2023. SUGA released his debut solo album, D-DAY, on April 21, and set out for his solo world tour "Agust D World Tour" on April 26 and concluded it on August 6, 2023. The Haegeum rapper-songwriter will return in June 2025.
BTS' Namjoon and Taehyung enlisted together in the South Korean military on December 11, 2023. Namjoon released his debut solo album, Indigo, on December 2, 2022. He dropped his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, on May 24, 2024, with the album's title track, LOST!. The album's pre-release single, Come back to me, was dropped on May 10, 2024.
Taehyung’s debut solo album, Layover, and its lead single came out on September 8, 2023. His solo English single, FRI(END)S, was released on March 15, 2024. He also featured on UMI’s R&B track, wherever u r, on December 30, 2024, and appeared in IU’s Love wins all music video, released on January 24, 2024.
Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023. Jimin dropped his debut album, FACE, on March 24, 2023, followed by his digital single, Close Than This, on December 22, 2023. The BTS idol released his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024.
Jungkook's debut solo album, GOLDEN, arrived on November 3, 2023. Before that, he released his solo singles, Seven and 3D, in July and October 2023, respectively.
Jungkook also featured on j-hope's I wonder... from the album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, which dropped on March 29, 2024. Later, he released his digital single, Never Let Go, on June 7, 2024.
BTS' Kim Namjoon, Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin, and Jeon Jungkook will return together from the military in June 2025.
In other news, Jin is set to release his debut solo album by the end of 2024. He was also selected as one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics Torch Relay on July 2. He carried the Olympic Flame and represented South Korea at the Summer Games on July 14 at the Louvre Pyramid (Paris local time).
