On August 14, 2024, BTS' Kim Taehyung, who is known by his stage name V, made history as his English single, FRI(END)S, surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify. It became the first and only track by a K-pop solo artist to achieve this feat in 2024. The song was released on released on March 15, 2024.

Furthermore, it is important to note that the streams are the cumulative result of the original track along with its 3 other versions: Sped Up, Slowed Down, and Instrumental. On March 7, 2024, it debuted at No. 7 on Spotify's Daily Global Top Songs chart, garnering an amazing 4,728,233 plays.

FRI(END)S landed at No. 65 on the Hot 100 on March 26, 2024. It also shot at no. 2 on Billboard's Digital Single Sales chart, making it the country's second-best-selling single of the week. The song also debuted at No. 5 on the Global 200 and No. 3 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart.

The music video of Love wins all made waves online as it was a comeback acting project of BTS' Kim Taehyung. Despite being enlisted in the military on December 11, 2023, all three songs wherever u r, Love wins all, and FRI(END)S dominated the music charts.


In other news, BTS' V enlisted in the Special Duty Team (SDT) unit in the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) on December 11, 2023, and will return in June 2025.
