On Thursday, July 4, BigHit Entertainment announced the release of BTS Taehyung's Merch Box which will consist of items inspired by the idol's solo debut album, Layover. Following the announcement, the Merch Box has been made available for purchase as of July 4, 2 PM KST, and will be available till July 31, 11:59 PM KST.
This merchandise, however, is only available for those who adorn the ARMY MEMBERSHIP on Weverse and it was announced that new sign-ups or renewals following the merch announcement will not be eligible. The merch collection consists of a handbag, photo card holder, photo frame, and slippers, and they are all expected to have taken inspiration from the idol's solo debut album, Layover.
A preview of the products was recently revealed through BTS' official Weverse page. However, further details regarding the item's prices, etc., are yet to be announced by the idol's agency, BigHit Entertainment. Regardless, fans are excited about the new merch announcement and have been celebrating the same.

BTS' Taehyung released his solo debut album, Layover, on September 8, 2023. The album stands as an ode to his pet dog, Yeontan, and the relationship they share. It also consisted of six songs and the idol played a mixture of genres for the same, including pop, RnB, jazz, and more.
During the album's release, it came with its own set of merchandise that included letter-box-themed items such as postcards, photo cards, photo books, lyric books, posters, and more. However, the idol has extended the inspiration and influence of the album by creating a small yet attractive merchandise collection inspired by his solo debut album.

Only fans who hold an ARMY membership on Weverse will be availed of access to the Merch Box release. On the other hand, this isn't the only merchandise and solo project that the idol will be rolling out. The entertainment company recently announced the release of his solo photobook titled, TYPE 1, which captures the idol in his natural state, when he's relaxed and comfortable.
It's scheduled to release on July 9, which marks the ARMY Day or the birthday of BTS' fandom. The idol, therefore, aimed to gift memories of his relaxed and comfortable moments to his fans. The photo book also comes with a few merchandise such as photo cards, stickers bookmarks, etc.
In addition to the release of the photobook, the idol will also be rolling out a special exhibition to commemorate its release called ARTSPACE: TYPE 1. Taehyung will be showcasing the photos on TYPE 1 in a different form across venues in several countries including Japan, Thailand, the United States, Canada, etc.
With quite a handful of events and content pouring out from the K-pop idol, fans have been eagerly looking forward to the same. On the other hand, Taehyung is currently undergoing military service as a special forces member of the military police.
