On July 22, 2024, BTS' Kim Taehyung, aka V, marked another record as his debut solo single, Love Me Again, surpassed 700 million streams on Spotify. Significantly, it is the first and only B-side track to achieve this feat on Spotify in 2024.

The track has recorded over 697 million streams (697,673,185) and averaged over 2.06 million (2,068,284) on July 22. Together, the singer-songwriter amassed over 701.9 million Spotify streams. The song was released in August 2023 and marked the beginning of Taehyung's solo journey.

Later, it was added to his debut solo album, Layover, which was released on September 8, 2023. The album consists of six songs, including Slow Dancing, Blue, For Us, Rainy Days, Love Me Again, and Slow Dancing (Piano Version).

Love Me Again is an R&B-influenced song that speaks about missing out on love. BIGHIT MUSIC described the song as a return to the romantic soul style of the 1970s, exuding a feeling of yearning and loss. Furthermore, Love Me Again was written by Freekind, Jinsu Park, Donghyun Kim, and Gigi.

The track gained over 1 million views on YouTube within 7 minutes after it was released on August 10, 2023. Immediately, the song topped the Billboard's Hot Trending charts on August 15. It also won Billboard's 'This Week’s Favorite New Music' with 97% of the fan vote.

On August 24, 2023, Love Me Again entered the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 6 and sold over 19,000 CD units. It also entered at No. 12 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

On August 22, the song also entered at No. 96 on the Billboard Hot 100 and debuted at the top of Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Additionally, it spent 14 weeks on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Another track, Rainy Days, from Taehyung's Layover album entered the chart at No. 8 the same day. The song debuted at No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart and No. 16 on the Global 200 chart.
