On September 1, 2024, BTS' Taehyung clinched the 'Trend of the Year Kpop Solo' title for the fourth consecutive month, covering May through August. The winner of this voting will be recognized with a physical trophy at the inaugural Korea Grand Music Awards 2024, set to take place in November 2024.
In the most recent tally, Taehyung secured an impressive 87.53% of the votes. Fans can participate in the voting process by downloading the Fancast app, registering for membership, and then voting for their favorite artist through the banner on the 'Home' or the 'Vote' menu.
Voting for this title occurs monthly over two weeks for each category. The ultimate winner is determined by a combination of 10% from pre-voting, 40% from monthly votes (accrued over four months), and 50% from the main KGMA votes (collected over two rounds).
The KGMA physical trophy will be given to the artist who has garnered the most affection throughout the year, with the results based entirely on votes cast via the Fancast app.
