On November 13, 2024, JYP Entertainment announced postponing promotions for TWICE's upcoming mini-album STRATEGY due to actor Song Jae-rim's sudden death. The Queen Woo famed actor passed away on November 12, 2024, after taking his own life. He was aged 39.

Meanwhile, TWICE was set to release their Concept Photo #1 for their upcoming mini-album on November 13, which will now be published on November 14. As per the promotion roster, the forthcoming mini-album's concept photos would have been released between November 13, 14, 15, 16, and 19, which will now be done with a one-day delay.

In between this, the album trailer is scheduled for a November 17 release, followed by a preview on November 20, 2024. The tracklist will be announced on November 23. STRATEGY will be released on December 6, 2024, as per schedule.

JYP Entertainment said:

"Due to unfortunate news, the release of Concept Photo #1, originally set for midnight tonight, will now be postponed to midnight on November 14. We ask for your understanding."

However, the girl group's fanbase was surprised by the delayed announcement. One fan wrote:

"They delayed explaining the situation, but this still does not make sense."

Several fans stated that although the company and the girl group decided to honor Song Jae-rim's memory by delaying the schedule, the fans should have been informed on time.

"It's understandable that the girls and the team made that decision, TWICE has always been empathetic about things like this. It's also not ONCE's fault for wanting an explanation and for worrying about not getting the teaser..." one fan wrote.
"Yea I get that but couldn't they announce that like a little sooner, they didn't update us for 12 hours. Also I'm confused on how they are going to do it since concept photos were supposed to drop tomorrow, will they release both at the same time like I'm confused," another fan added.
"Sorry for sounding like a broken record. we're allowed to be upset, but now that we know the context, we can set aside this issue to be tackled on a more appropriate time." One other fan said.

Several fans highlighted that since JYP Entertainment issued a notice a day later after Song Jae-rim's death, it created confusion among fans. They mentioned how the notice should have been given earlier, while others pointed out that they should respect the decision.

"This was an announcement that should've happened yesterday. we could fully understand this. if they posted this a bit earlier, it wouldn't have created an unnecessary noise last midnight. If you really respect Song Jaerim, you wouldn't delay this note that much @JYPETWICE," a fan wrote.
I knew this was the case. RIP to the treasured Song Jea Rim. May you be remembered always ☹️ let's respect TWICE and div 3's beautiful decision," one fan remarked.
"Onces in the quotes being impatient, insensitive and entitled. If it's about the actor who died, then we should understand their decision to postpone the scheduled CP release. Who knows someone in Div 3 is grieving, wether a staff member or artist." Another fan added.
