On December 17, 2024, a South Korean media outlet, Star News, reported that actor Na In-woo had been exempted from mandatory military service after awaiting his call-up for three years. During his physical examination, the actor was classified as a grade 4 supplementary service member, as per the report. However, he did not receive a notice for enlistment within the stipulated time frame.

Under the Military Service Act, individuals in such situations are granted automatic exemption, and Na In-woo is among over 10,000 people exempted this year alone, according to Star News.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on Na In-woo's exemption, with many humorously suggesting he should return to the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night. He left the television show in June 2024, citing various reasons, including preparing for enlistment. An X user, @Kyrlarf, wrote:

Some also celebrated the actor's exemption from obligatory military service.
