Netizens have showcased their anger at K-pop fans allegedly leaving inappropriate remarks following actor Song Jae-rim's sudden demise. On November 12, South Korean Song Jae-rim was found dead in his house according to media agency Herald Pop, who was 39 years old. The news sent shock waves through K-drama fans and viewers who appreciated watching the actor on screen.

However, recently many netizens noticed K-pop fans making allegedly insensitive comments and tweets on X. In these tweets, certain anti-K-pop fans were allegedly seen sending death threats and calling for the deaths of K-pop idols including members of BTS and BLACKPINK. Netizens criticized the behavior of the alleged anti-fans for not respecting the Queen Woo actor's passing.

As multiple tweets with similar negative comments were allegedly seen online, netizens took screenshots of the same and shared their thoughts on X about it.

“The audacity for them, can't they just respect the man?? All situations, everything they see on twt and they will spat BTS this and that, this really proves that blinks are disgusting and inhumane y'all better get some help.”- a fan said
“It really pisses me off how every single time kpop stans say some shit like this nothing happens. Nobody cares . but let that ONE army with half a followers say something like this about a kpop idol and all of a sudden the whole fandom is deranged.”- a user stated
“Why do kpop stans make everything bout them someone jst passed away and instead of sending condolences yall are acting like assh*les in the qrts yall minds can’t jst be fanwars 24/7.”- another user stated

Fans continued to criticize the anti-fan for allegedly spreading negative comments about K-pop idols in light of Song Jae-rim's demise.

“That man lost his life and this is all they can think about?”- a fan wrote
“Kpop stans need a collective treatment”- a user commented
“How abnormal and demonic kpop stans are. RIP to him.”- another user commented

What happened to Queen Woo star Song Jae-rim?

On November 12, 2024, Queen Woo actor Song Jae-rim was reportedly found dead in his apartment in Seongdong-gu at approximately 12:30 pm KST according to Yonhap News. Following the reports there have not been any conjecture of a murder case or other crimes but a suicide letter was reportedly discovered at the site of death.

On November 13, iMBC reported that the Moon Embracing the Sun actor received malicious and slanderous comments from a Japanese Sasaeng or Stalker. The stalker allegedly leaked photos and personal information of the actor before his demise. Many netizens collected screengrabs of the posts made by the sasaeng, who shared malicious content involving Song Jae-rim.

One of the posts by the fans also stated:

"Are the gifts from fans also considered posts dedicated to ○○? Can you hide your vulgar nature with your acting skills?”

Notably, as the posts and the account information of the sasaeng fan started to circulate on social media by other SNS users, they reportedly deactivated their account. Furthermore, as per iMBC, it is uncertain whether the sasaeng was directly related to the death of the Our Gap-soon actor but his fans have expressed their anger at them for their behavior.


Meanwhile, Song Jae-rim’s funeral is set to be held at the St. Mary's Hospital Funeral Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
