“Can’t wait for this one” — Fans excited as CINEMARK shares details on BTS Jungkook’s 'I AM STILL' documentary reported release date

BTS Jungkook's upcoming documentary movie, I AM STILL, is reported to release on September 18, 2024. The news arrived on August 5, 2024, when CINEMARK dropped the date on its official website. In addition to brand-new interviews and behind-the-scenes recordings, the movie includes live performances from Seoul and his renowned Times Square live concert.

For the unversed, the BTS singer released his debut solo album, GOLDEN, on November 3, 2023. He performed several of his album tracks at the Times Square live concert while promoting the release in America in November.

The movie will reportedly have limited tickets for limited shows as per the website. CINEMARK wrote on its website:

"The release is a celebration of Jungkook, widely acknowledged as the most popular member of BTS, as he develops as a solo artist in the run-up to his first solo album, GOLDEN. The film follows the 150-day journey in the lead up to the album's release, highlighting his trailblazing path."

Fans went into an online frenzy after learning that the much-anticipated movie is set to be released in a month. One fan expressed their excitement and wrote on x:

"Can’t wait for this one"

The BTS ARMY flooded X as they celebrated the news. Some fans shared their itinerary while trying to figure out a way to get the tickets.

"'widely acknowledged as the most popular member of bts' this is a fact that cannot be denied," one fan wrote.
"Omg finally a date, hopefully it’s also available in my cinemas so I can reserve my ticket soon," another fan wrote.
"Aahhh!!! I'll be in Nepal, but heading to Korea a few days later. I hope it'll be playing at cinemas long enough for me to see it in Korea or two weeks later in Singapore... Why do these always come out when I have work travel???" one other fan said.

Others expressed their happiness that they would finally get to watch the unseen footage that Jungkook was seen recording on his camera throughout his promotional schedule.

"EP 18 RELEASE????? stomach twisting this all feels so surreal," another fan added.
"Golden behind the scenes recording finally I can't wait," one fan wrote.
"So this is basically the longer ver of jk's GCF??" another fan wrote.

BTS Jungkook's activities before and after his military enlistment

After releasing his debut solo album, Jungkook pre-filmed a reality travel show with BTS Jimin across New York, Japan, and South Korea ahead of his military enlistment. The reality travel show is set to be released on August 8, 2024, on Disney Plus and will include eight episodes.

Aside from his forthcoming travel show, BTS Jungkook also released a fan song, Never Let Go, as a digital single on June 7, 2024, during the BTS FESTA celebration.

Meanwhile, the upcoming documentary movie I AM STILL will also feature snippets of Jungkook recording his SEVEN. The track won him his first MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards in 2023.


In other news, BTS Jungkook enlisted alongside Park Jimin in the South Korean military on December 12, 2024. The duo will return in June 2025 and resume group activities.
