BLACKPINK's Jennie also shared an update on her album via Weverse
On November 11, BLACKPINK's Jennie used the Korean social media app Weverse to provide an update on her upcoming album to her fans. The female musician stated that she had been working hard for her upcoming album.
She asserted that she would disclose information about the album when the appropriate moment occurs.
"If you're curious, I'm running hard for the album. You want to know a lot of things, but when the time comes, I'll reveal it as much as I want, so let's cheer up a little more,” Jennie mentioned in her post.
On October 11, BLACKPINK's Jennie dropped her digital song Mantra via Odd Atelier and Columbia Records. This will be the lead single of the female artist's upcoming album.
The music is designated as the idol's inaugural release under Odd Atelier following her exit as an independent artist from YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in 2023.
Further, on November 9, Jennie's Mantra achieved the feat of being the longest-charting tune on the UK Official Singles Chart for four consecutive week.
It reached the #76 spot in its fourth week of release and was recognized as the first and longest single by a K-pop female act in 2024 to attain this status.
Around the same time, Jennie presented a captivating performance of Mantra during the Superpop Japan music event held at Panasonic Stadium Suita on November 9 and 10, 2024.
