“Cartier scored a winner”-Fans swoon over Stray Kids’ Hyunjin’s Esquire Korea fashion film

On September 12, 2024, Stray Kids' Hyunjin was officially announced as the new brand ambassador for the luxury jewelry brand Cartier. A day later, on September 13, the fashion film titled "In the Name of Love" from his collaboration with Esquire Korea was unveiled.

Esquire Korea had already teased fans by releasing a few of the star's images via social media the day before. As part of this partnership, he will be featured in their October issue with an 18-page photoshoot and an exclusive interview.

One fan on X called the collaboration a "perfect match" and said,

"Give him any concept and he'll DEVOUR IT. Really though, I love that they went with "In the Name of Love" because it's so Hyunjin. Cartier scored a winner. A perfect match made in heaven CARTIER AMBASSADOR HYUNJIN"

Other fans praised his visuals and called the idol "perfect" and "the most beautiful human ever."

“He looks so good in everything... he's literally perfect mannequin..” a fan said.
“HE IS LITEARLLY PERFECT,” a fan exclaimed.
“Why does he look so good like imagine waking up with a face like that everyday” another fan stated.
“He is truly the most beautiful human ever,” a fan claimed.

Some fans added that the film's concept suited the idol very well.

"I don't know how to explain but the concept fits him," another fan said.
“Like the concept of the film could not have been more perfect for hyunjin. the atmosphere of the video being so old-schooled and cozy... the vinyl in the background... the subtle message of love... with him, the quite literal personification of love, in the centre of it,” a fan described the fashion film.

Esquire Korea releases a fashion film of Hyunjin's Cartier collaboration

Hyunjin of Stray Kids, who already serves as the brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house Versace, expanded his ambassadorship portfolio by becoming the global face of Cartier, a prestigious jewelry brand, on September 12, 2024.

Following this announcement, Esquire Korea revealed his photo shoot with the brand, which fans eagerly anticipated. As part of the Cartier campaign, Esquire Korea released three images from the photo shoot. Then, on September 13, a fashion film titled "In the Name of Love" was unveiled. It showcased Hyunjin in a series of elegant outfits different from those in the photo shoot.

The fashion film begins in black-and-white, with his gold hand jewelry being the only item in color, making it stand out. He is seen putting on a record while dressed in a unique ensemble: jet-black velvet trousers, a white vest, and a leather sleeveless upper garment with a turtleneck held together by two straps at the waist, paired with a Cartier pendant.

The film transitions to the second look, in which the Stray Kids member holds a vintage camera and wears a grey woolen top with a polo-style collar. His hair is styled in a messy yet chic manner as he flips through Polaroids.

The next scene shows the idol answering a red telephone while dressed in a long leather coat, a deep-necked black vest, and trousers, accessorized with a ring, earrings, and a pendant. His hair appears straighter in this scene, enhancing the sleekness of his look.

The final scene of the film features Hyunjin seated at an office desk, wearing a loose khaki-grey shirt and beige trousers, with a vintage typewriter in front of him. As the film comes to a close, he types the words, "Love is all."

The fashion film was captioned,

"Cartier, Hyunjin, and Esquire are back together. The reunion of these three is similar to the Trinity collection, which celebrates its 100th anniversary. Three different golds are chained together to be the icon. It's the message of love for the world from the icon beyond the generation and in the generation."

Esquire Korea also wrote about Hyunjin, stating,

"striking visuals, powerful charisma, and irresistible aura perfectly align with Cartier’s timeless Trinity collection."

The campaign features various vintage items, adding a nostalgic and timeless element to the overall aesthetic. Fans eagerly await more photos and content from this campaign.
