Jungkook's upcoming documentary film intimately captures his journey as a solo artist
The much-awaited documentary movie, I AM STILL, will begin a limited global theatrical run starting September 18, 2024. The documentary will give viewers a close-up glimpse of BTS' Jungkook's extremely personal and unique representation of his life and profession.
The film chronicled his preparation, practice sessions, late-night song recordings, enduring inclement weather to give his audience the greatest live shows possible, and more. For the first time without his members, the musician flew alone throughout North America to promote his debut solo record.
The film includes scenes when he talks about his memories of his bandmates and admits that he misses them. The official trailer also showcased Jungkook's never-before-seen interviews and behind-the-scenes moments. Jungkook could be heard questioning if he could gain recognition with his BTS members in the official trailer,
"Without the power of BTS, just on my own will I be able to receive recognition? [...] I've never thought of myself as a genius. I just know the areas I lack in so I strive to be better too. I always say this but ARMY always fires me up. I just follow my own compass. It's always more fun with the fans."
Apart from his upcoming documentary film, the Standing Next To You singer aired his reality travel show, Are You Sure?!, on Disney+. The show also features his bandmate, Park Jimin, as they both travel across California, Jeju Island, and Japan's Sapporo.
Are You Sure?! aired episode 1 on August 8, 2024. Each Thursday, the reality show releases a new episode. The latest episode 5 was aired on August 29, which featured BTS' Taehyung as a special guest. Episode 6 will be dropped on September 5, on Disney+.
