Since the drama is adapted from a well-liked webtoon, K-drama enthusiasts are quite excited to see it. Choi Sung-eun will be playing Park Sung Ah in the upcoming series. While she's at night practicing her skills as a shaman, she's a high school student by day.

Gyeonwoo and the Fairy is based on Ahn Soo Min's webtoon of the same name. The Cowherd and the Fairy and Gyeonuwa Seonnyeo are other names for this webtoon. In 2020, it was serialized on Naver and was greatly admired by fans. This webtoon was also dubbed in other languages, including Indonesian, Thai, and Japanese.
Famed Korean drama director Kim Yong Wan (If You Wish Upon Me, The Cursed, etc.) will be responsible for the production. The Whirlwind, a series by the same director, debuted on Netflix on June 28.
