ASTRO member Cha Eun-woo has joined BTS' Jungkook and SEVENTEEN's Mingyu as a model for Calvin Klein. On September 10, Calvin Klein launched their Fall 2024 Menswear Collection, featuring the True Beauty actor in their new campaign.

As reported by Women’s Wear Daily on September 9, 2024, Cha Eun-woo shared his thoughts on collaboration with the American clothing brand.

“I’ve admired Calvin Klein for a long time, so it’s surreal to be a part of this campaign. Calvin Klein has such timeless style – each look felt so sleek and polished. I can’t wait for my fans around the world to see it,” he said.

The campaign, which stars Cha Eun-woo, has garnered attention from fans of BTS’ Jungkook and SEVENTEEN's Mingyu. This is because Cha Eun-woo, Jungkook, and Mingyu are known to be close friends and a part of the popular group of K-pop idols born in 1997, known as the “97 Liner Squad.”

Jungkook was announced as the global ambassador of Calvin Klein in March 2023, and Mingyu represented the brand for a campaign in June 2024. Fans have expressed their excitement to see the ASTRO member join the other two idols for Calvin Klein’s brand campaigns. One fan on X wrote:

GOT7's Yugyeom talks about the 97 liner squad Busan trip with Cha Eun-woo, Jungkook, Mingyu, & more

The 97 Liner Squad is a friend group of K-pop idols born in 1997, including BTS’ Jungkook, ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo, GOT7's Yugyeom and BamBam, and NCT's Jaehyun. The group usually hangs out together and goes for meals.

In July 2024, Yugyeom and his groupmate Youngjae appeared on the YouTube talk show Wanna Come Here? During the episode, Yugyeom shared that the 97 Liner squad went on a trip to Busan in 2023, which is Jungkook's hometown. He also spoke about the custom-made bracelet he received from Jungkook for his birthday.
