On Monday, December 2, former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin released a statement through its media communications and legal representative, Macoll Consulting Group and Law Firm Sejong. Ilgan Sports revealed that it was regarding the reported lawsuit she filed against the former HYBE executives and Dispatch journalists for violating the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection Act.
The lawsuit was reportedly filed against the former HYBE CEO Park Ji-won, HYBE Chief Communications Officer Park Tae-hee, and the Dispatch reporters Park Hye-jin and Kim Ji-ho. This was due to the alleged use of illegally gained information by the HYBE executives to create a negative opinion on the former ADOR CEO, Min Hee-jin.
The reporters, on the other hand, were involved in the lawsuit as they published the alleged illegally obtained and false information about the former CEO while being fully aware of the situation's nature. Here's what a part of the statement read about the lawsuit, particularly in the context of her lawsuit against the Dispatch reporters who catalyzed the information.
"Dispatch reporters Kim Ji-ho and Park Hye-jin wrote an article that completely contradicts the truth and wrote false content by adding their own speculation to one-sided claims without any fact-checking. We hope that through thorough investigation following this lawsuit, the accused parties' serious falsehoods and deception will be revealed and they will be held legally accountable accordingly," the statement read.
