'CONGRATULATIONS SUGA' trends on X as AGUST D ranks #1 on iTunes worldwide with entire discography charting in the US

On Saturday, August 24, it was revealed that BTS SUGA is the biggest artist on iTunes worldwide, as he ranks at #1 with his entire discography charting in the US. The idol also stands as the most consumed Asian Act on all digital platforms and also ranked #5 on the Global Digital Artist. One of the idol's solo tracks has been pumping back up on the charts.

The track Polar Night has topped the Worldwide & European iTunes Song charts with a #1 rank across 44 countries. However, this isn't the only track from the idol's discography that's been gathering attention on the iTunes charts. The tracks Snooze ft. Ryuichi Sakamoto & WOOSUNG, The Last, and Haegeum have also re-entered the American iTunes chart.

All three albums of the K-pop idol have been simultaneously charting on the Worldwide, European, and US iTunes Charts. His most recent album, D-Day, bagged the Top New Entry with its #3 rank on the Worldwide chart. It also re-entered the US iTunes Album chart at #8 and bagged another Top New Entry on US iTunes at #13.

All you need to know about BTS SUGA's solo career and his recent activities

Min Yoon-gi, otherwise known as BTS SUGA, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer. While he stands as the rapper of BTS, he has also ventured into his solo career from quite an early stage. The idol has not only produced several BTS songs but also released solo tracks within BTS albums such as Trivia: Seesaw, Intro: Never Mind, First Love, and more.

SUGA, then, started his solo career through his mixtape releases. He released his first mixtape, Agust D, in 2016, which was followed by a second mixtape release in 2020. However, his first official solo debut album was marked with the release of D-Day, an album that's expected to bring together Agust D and D-2 while also concluding the chapter.

BTS SUGA is currently serving his mandatory military service. However, on August 6, he was charged with DUI for driving an electric scooter from his studio to his house after having a few drinks with his friends. SUGA was initially asked to pay a fine, and his license was revoked.


The first round of private investigations for the DUI case was conducted on August 23 at the Yongsan Police Station.
