Episode 8 of The Judge from Hell, released on October 12, confirmed that killer J, who was responsible for the death of Han Da-on's parents, is back on the hunt. As fans got glimpses of the new character, they started speculating who it might be. The preview of episode 9 also gave away a few hints, based on which fans have started building theories.
The Judge from Hell, which premiered on September 21, is a fantasy romance drama featuring Park Shin-hye as Kang Bit-na, a demon from hell who takes over the body of a judge. She crosses paths with Han Da-on, a dedicated and empathetic detective played by Kim Jae Young, who faces a reality even more challenging than hell.

The recent episodes suggest multiple mysteries will be revealed in the upcoming episodes. Before that happens, the fans have some theories of their own.
The older son of Assemblyman Jeong
In The Judge from Hell, Assemblyman Jeong is portrayed as a corrupt person. The reason why Bit-na broke off her engagement with his older son is still a mystery. Moreover, she was killed right afterward. While it is clear that the older son is not righteous, some fans speculate that he might be killer J.

The younger son of Assemblyman Jeong
When Bit-na (Justitia) visited his house, she did not really interact with Assemblyman Jeong's younger son. Some fans believe that he might be Killer J.

In The Judge from Hell, A-rong informs Bit-na that Satan had stolen the Kylum and fled to earth and is being sought out by some demons from hell. According to some fans, the killer J is Satan. To back the claim, fans mention that J uses a specific type of dagger. They draw similarities between his and Bit-na's daggers, which share engravings.

The new detective, Jang Mun-jae
In episode 8 of The Judge from Hell, Detective Kim So-yeong was confirmed to be dead. In the preview for the next episode, a new detective is shown joining the team. According to a few fans, this new detective may be the Killer J. They believe that some of his features and his build match that of killer J.
