BTS’ Jungkook's recent Instagram update through his dog’s account has gone viral online, making many fans emotional. On November 27, 2024, Jungkook took to the account @bowwow_bam, dedicated to his pet Doberman Bam, to share an update.
The GOLDEN singer changed the profile picture to a photo where he is seen playing with Bam. Furthermore, he made a post where Bam is seen standing under a snowfall. The post garnered attention for its caption, where the BTS vocalist used emojis of a snowman, a dog, a salute, a crying face, and a purple heart followed by the number 196.
Fans were quick to decipher the number, which signified the number of days left for his military service discharge in 2025. Jungkook enlisted on December 12, 2023, and reportedly completed 50 percent of his national duties in September 2024.

On November 25, Billboard Music Awards announced the nominations where the BTS maknae became the most nominated K-pop artist. He was nominated in the following categories at the BBMAs:

- Top Kpop Album (GOLDEN)
- Top Selling Song (Standing Next to You)
- Top Global Kpop Song (Standing Next to You, 3D)
- Top Global K-Pop Artist
On the other hand, on November 24, while Jungkook was in the military, some netizens set up a look-alike competition that was held in New York, United States.
Several people who were confident that they resembled the BTS vocalist came forward to showcase their looks.
By the end of the competition, a college student, who goes by the name Andrew Alexander, took home the ‘Jungkook look-alike' title. He gained recognition online as he previously appeared on the YouTube channel Ur Mom Ashley, alongside his siblings Ashley and Amber.
Notably, Jungkook will be discharged from his national duties in 2025.
