On August 13, a Reddit user, @AlessRosstar, shared their experience of spotting BTS' Jin in Paris. The user mentioned that they were aware their hotel would host several celebrities for the 2024 Paris Olympics, and during Jin's visit as a torchbearer, they saw him there on July 7.
"I’m not exactly an ARMY, but I respect BTS a lot and really enjoy their music. Moreover, Jin was definitely the man of the moment. The one who had driven France wild for days, so I was excited," the netizen wrote.
While they expected BTS Jin to stay in the same hotel, they soon realized he wasn't. A few days after Jin's torch relay, the netizen was convinced that the idol had probably taken his flight back home. But to their surprise, the netizen encountered the idol at a random restaurant while meeting up with their colleagues for drinks.

The netizen continued to share details about the idol such as posture, behavior, attitude, looks, and more. Their confession went on to praise several aspects of the BTS member. They were not only impressed and lured by the idol's charming qualities but were also touched by the idol's manners and behavior toward everyone around him.

The netizen started off their narrative by explaining that they weren't exactly an ARMY but they deeply respect BTS and often listen to their music.
"I arrived in Paris on July 7th, knowing that my hotel would be hosting important members of the Olympic Games organization. To be honest, that didn’t excite me much, but the hotel experience is the possibility of seeing some torchbearers, including Jin, did," the post read.
They continued,
"Sadly, there were no signs of him for days I knew he had left his country but he definitely didn’t arrive at our hotel and I lost all hope."
However, the netizen shared that they met them unexpectedly on the night of July 12 at the L’officine area in Paris where the idol was with his colleague for drinks. The idol was accompanied by a few other people who spoke to each other in Korean, and the netizen also clarified that they maintained a respectable distance from the idol and didn't interfere with him and his group's gathering.
They then explained that the idol was not as talkative as they expected him to be and also observed that he was an active listener.
"He wasn’t as talkative as I expected, he was one of those who listens attentively, always focusing his gaze on whoever was speaking but at the same time aware of his surroundings, as you’d expect from a celebrity and a recently discharged soldier."
They continued to explain that the idol's attitude was also very friendly with everyone and he was respectful of the people around him.
"Contrary to what you might have expected after watching some YT videos, his laughter wasn’t loud or constant. Instead, it had a mature and somewhat intimate sound. What is true is that he has an easy smile! He smiled at everyone he made eye contact with!!! Most of the people there were hotel staff, but he smiled just the same regardless of their jobs."

The Reddit user described Jin's appearance, noting that while he didn't initially seem muscular, his presence was imposing and surprisingly broad. His skin was more of a Chai Latte tone with a slight tan, looking beautiful and healthy. They also commented on his facial features, describing his angular face with chubby cheeks and sweet lips. They admired his well-defined eyebrows and intense, dark eyes, which they felt had a supernatural quality.
They ended their post by explaining after hanging out for 10 to 15 minutes at the restaurant, Jin and his friends left the place. They were escorted by a car sent by a brand. However, the netizen didn't reveal the brand as they weren't sure if the news about this was revealed yet.
