Season 1 captivated global audiences with its intense competition, evolving social dynamics, and gripping psychological strategies, cementing its place as a favorite among viewers.

In the inaugural season, players faced a week-long training camp, competing fiercely while forming alliances, engaging in psychological warfare, and navigating betrayals. The unpredictable developments resembled a drama, earning Devil’s Plan the title of an unmissable K-brain survival show.

Devil’s Plan achieved significant milestones, topping Netflix’s Today’s Top 10 Series in Korea, entering the Top 10 in 23 countries, and ranking third globally in the Non-English TV Show category. Reflecting on the upcoming season, PD Jeong Jong-yeon shared:

"We considered various personalities and abilities when selecting the cast members, and as a producer, we were very satisfied.

He added that they designed a hall of games where people play games without resting their heads during the entire recording. He believes seeing the cast members’ every move true to their instincts will be fun.

The Korean Herald reported on September 4, 2024, that during a press tour held on the set of the second season, Jung shared that the new installment of Devil’s Plan boasts a larger budget, improved game quality, and a bigger cast. The Devil’s Plan 2 is being filmed on a 1,000-pyeong set (approximately 3,300 square meters), which is 1.8 times the size of the first season’s set.

With the contestants now revealed and a teaser showcasing their determination released, Devil’s Plan 2 is set to premiere in the first half of this year. Meanwhile, the first season is available to stream on Netflix.
