However, one day, he got into an accident while delivering food during heavy rain. Dogeon went to his mother wounded, and handed over the passbook, pleading with her to save him. Dogeon told her that he would not be able to live as the breadwinner anymore and subsequently got a job at a petrol pump with a place to stay in Begins Youth.
Dogeon received a call from Jooan, who confessed that he missed him in a crying voice. Jooan's voice was shaking, and it seemed he was crying before he cut the call abruptly, leaving Dogeon confused. The scene transitioned to the beach, where Jooan and Dogeon talked about not contacting each other for a long time.
Begins Youth further shed light on the whereabouts of Jooan, who was waiting outside his mother and sister's house with his friend. Subsequently, he had a warm meal with them, and his mother asked him to live with them, disclosing the house's passcode as his birthday date.
Jooan went to his drunken father, warning him to either quit drinking or live with his mother and sister. He persuaded and took him to their house, where he assured his sister and mother that he would get treated and live with them happily.

Subsequently, Min Cein's father bailed him out of the police station and expressed frustration about his acts. He questioned Min Cein whether he was the one behind the incident where his mother was burned to death. Dejected, Min Cein took shelter in a hotel where he burned a photo of himself with his mother and set the place on fire. He consequently committed s*uicide.
The scene changed to Jaeha visiting the group's hideout place, where he discovered a diary/notebook. It contained the details regarding the events, pictures of places, crime scenes, and other things that happened before and were bound to occur in the future.
He saw a picture of Jooan's mother's house where the yellow police tape was before his apartment. Subsequently, Jaeha visited Jooan's apartment the following day and found that the condition of his friend's apartment was the same as shown in the diary. Jaeha was informed by Jooan's friend that he was at the police station in Begins Youth.
Subsequently, he left a voicemail for Min Cein, where he informed him of discovering a strange diary with a key he left behind. Jaeha discovered a picture of hotel Dul Ya on fire due to arson and someone committing s*icide there. He found that it was located at Gyeongdong Discount Mart.
On the same evening, he went to the hotel Dul Ya, where he found that someone died due to arson and dialed Min Cein's number, which went unanswered.
