BTS' RM pens a letter to ARMYs through Weverse

On Thursday, September 12, BTS' RM turned 30 years old, and despite the idol's current enlistment in the military for his mandatory service, he made sure to spend some time with his fans. Though the idol couldn't turn on a livestream, as the members usually do on their birthdays, he sent a letter to the ARMYs.

Namjoon thanked the ARMYs for their love and support, while also giving a few updates on his journey in the South Korean military.

Here's what the idol's letter read:

"Hello, my dear loved ones! I'm 30 now (already...). On this date, when I sometimes felt insignificant myself, I want to sincerely thank you for the heartfelt congratulations you've sent me. Thanks to you, I'm able to hold on. You know that, right? There's a saying in Buddhism: 'Rely only on yourself, using your own light as your guide.'"

He continued,

"Whenever my heart feels uneasy in the distant Hwacheon or when I feel sudden anger without reason, I think of these words. There are many things I want to say at this moment, but for today, I'll let a few pictures on Instagram speak for me instead."

BTS' RM further talked about his military service.

"I've reached the halfway point of my military service. It feels like that turning point during the 3km run at the Nonsan training camp when my breath was caught in my throat. Life can be fleeting, can't it? After the snow falls, the year changes, the days warm up again, and the cherry blossoms bloom, I'll come back to see you cheerfully," RM added.

BTS' RM concluded his letter to the ARMYs by expressing his love for the fandom and hoping they are all healthy.

In recent news, RM's collaborative track with Megan Thee Stallion, Neva Play, hit No. 1 on Amazon's Best Sellers in all genres.
