The second season of Vigilante is in the works, as confirmed by a JTBC official on 19 July. Prominent performers from season 1, including Yoo Ji-tae, Kim So-jin, and Nam Joo-hyuk, are expected to return in season 2. The official stated that they are currently in the process of casting, in reference to the recently added characters.
A representative of Vigilante production business Studio N stated,
"It is currently in the planning stage."
Although the agencies of Kim So-jin, Yoo Ji-tae, and Nam Joo-hyuk currently have differing views on their appearances. Given their fondness for season 1, it is anticipated that they will reprise their roles if scheduling and programming issues do not pose a significant obstacle.
Vigilante: Premise and cast
In Vigilante, which debuted as a Disney+ original series in November 2023, a gangster killed his mother on the street when Kim Ji-Yong was a little child, beating her to death for no apparent cause. The thug was only imprisoned for three and a half years.
Now that he is an adult, Kim Ji-Yong observes that the person who killed his mother hasn't changed at all. Kim Ji-Yong decides to take matters into his own hands.
As an adult, he attends the police university like a good student during the week, but on the weekends he punishes offenders who continue to commit crimes after receiving absurdly low penalties.
Jo Heon, the leader of an investigative team, notices Ji-yong's conduct. After learning about the Vigilante from Choi Mi-ryeo, a news reporter who documents his actions, Jo Heon launches an effort to apprehend him.
Nam Joo-hyuk plays Kim Ji-yong, a model police student who defends the law during the day and lives as a vigilante who judges criminals who have escaped the law during the night for various reasons. Yoo Ji-tae portrays Jo Heon, the chief of the metropolitan investigative team, Kim So-jin plays Choi Mi-ryeo, a reporter.

Nam Joo-hyuk gained fame from the TV series Who Are You: School 2015 and further established himself with roles in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, The Bride of Habaek, Start Up, The School Nurse Files," and Twenty-Five Twenty-One.
Yoo Ji-tae started his acting career in 1998 and became well-known through Attack the Gas Station and Ditto. He gained further recognition by working with renowned directors in films such as One Fine Spring Day, Oldboy, and Woman is the Future of Man.
Kim So-jin gained notoriety for her role as a prosecutor in the 2017 crime drama The King, for which she was recognized with many honors, including the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Grand Bell Award, and the Blue Dragon Film Award. Since then, she has appeared in movies like The Man Standing Next and The Drug King.
