On December 30, Squid Game 2's Park Sung-hoon posted an explicit parody of the K-drama series on his Instagram stories. Although the post was quickly deleted, many fans and netizens were able to get a glimpse of it. Following the incident, his agency, BH Entertainment, released a statement explaining what had happened.
In the statement, they clarified that Park accidentally posted the image while going through his Instagram DMs, mistakenly pressing one of the chat options. Despite the explanation, many fans found it hard to believe and continued to criticize the actor for his actions. One fan on X tweeted:

BH Entertainment releases statement in response to Squid Game 2's Park Sung-hoon reposting explicit parody poster of the show
On December 30, a representative from Park Sung-hoon's agency, BH Entertainment, released a statement to Maeil Kyungjae's Star Today. The statement was regarding the recent controversy around the actor, who uploaded an explicit parody poster of the show.
In their statement, the agency explained:
“Park Sung-hoon must have accidentally pressed the wrong button while checking the many DMs he received, and it ended up on his story. The actor himself was very surprised and is reflecting on his actions. He will work hard to make sure this never happens again.”
However, Park Sung-hoon has not yet issued an official response regarding the incident. Squid Game is a South Korean TV series that revolves around a survival theme. Released in 2021, the show features a large group of contestants who participate in children's games in exchange for a tempting prize.
As the contestants begin playing, they realize that the stakes are deadly. The second season premiered on December 26, with Park Sung-hoon playing a trans woman named Cho Hyun-joo.
