The sixth episode of Doubt was released on November 1, 2024, via the MBC network. The ongoing psychological thriller has a total of 10 episodes, featuring Han Seok-kyu, Han Ye-ri, Oh Yeon-soo, and Chae Won-bin in the lead roles, alongside other supporting cast.
The previous episode of Doubt revealed Tae-su's role in his wife Ji-su's death. It seems that he had spurred Ji-su into killing herself. In the latest episode of Doubt, the plot twists as Ji-su is shown to be the one who doubts her daughter Ha-bin.
Tae-su, who appeared to distrust his daughter in previous episodes, ultimately saved Ha-bin from Ji-su, who was going to kill her.
Doubt episode 6: Tae-su finds Ha-bin next to Yeong-min's dead body
Episode six of Doubt starts with Jang Ha-bin questioning her father, Jang Tae-su, about why he met Ji-su (her mother) on the day she died. She also asked what he said to her when she died. Tae-su recalled the moments of his last meeting with Ji-su where he told her to die.
Tae-su declined to respond to Ha-bin but then went on to say that it didn't matter if he met Ji-su. As a result, he assured Ha-bin that he would find out the cause of her death. Tae-su then headed for the police station. At the station, he instructed his colleagues to first find evidence against Choi Yeong-min rather than pursue him without it.
The police team then left for Yeong-min’s place. Under a search and seizure warrant, the police team collected the evidence from his place and also found a room key that was hidden inside. They opened the room, and the forensic team found bloodstains all over the room. They collected evidence and took all the gang members of Yeong-min with them.
While this was happening, Ha-bin was secretly keeping an eye on the police team. And another strange man with a helmet was following Ha-bin as she took the taxi and left. Soon, Ha-bin realized she was being followed, and she finally confronted that man. He turned out to be Song Min-a’s father.
Although Ha-bin denied that he was her father as she was an orphan, he confessed that he was not a good father. Song Min-a’s father asked Ha-bin about her connection with Yeong-min and also asked her why Tae-su released Yeong-min when the police were already trying to catch him.
In the previous episode of Doubt, Yeong-min was released by Tae-su. Ha-bin was shocked at this revelation by Song Min-a’s father.
Tae-su, on the other side, met Sung-hee after finishing his search at Yeong-min’s place. He noticed similar side dishes on Sung-hee’s table, as he saw in Yeong-min’s place. He suspected that Sung-hee and Yeong-min were in touch, even though she refused at the time of questioning.
In the meantime, Yeong-min’s gang members are brought to the police station. Tae-su asked his assistant to get more information about Eun-jin, who earlier revealed the truth behind Yeong-min’s claims in the case. Officer Gu told Tae-su that Eun-jin was a runaway and she left her house because of her abusive parents.
Around the same time, another police officer came to meet Tae-su, and there he saw Officer Gu while talking to Eo-jin. The police officer was shocked to see Officer Gu in the police department. This made Eo-jin suspicious of Officer Gu.
Later, Tae-su entered the interrogation room and questioned Eun-jin. He asked her questions about Yeong-min, and as she refused to answer them, he blackmailed her. He said that he would send her home if she refused to answer him. This scared her, and Eun-jin confessed that Sung-hee and Yeong-min were in touch. She also confirmed that Sung-hee was dating Joon-tae.
As Tae-su came out of the interrogation room, Officer Gu furiously asked him why he used Eun-jin’s weakness for interrogation. Officer Gu seemed disappointed in Tae-su’s way of working.
Meanwhile, Song Min-a’s father found Yeong-min, and he asked him why he killed his daughter. Yeong-min said that Ha-bin killed Song Min-a.
In the subsequent scene of Doubt, Officer Gu and Eo-jin went to Sung-hee’s place to question her, but she wasn’t there. Sung-hee was on her way to pick up her son when Yeong-min apprehended her. He took her with him to his hiding place.
He punched her and questioned why she and Joon-tae had framed him in Lee Su-hyeon's murder case. He also attempted to get her to reveal the truth about Su-hyeon's murderer, as Ji-su did not kill her.
Yeong-min then called Joon-tae and asked him to come to his secret spot to save Sung-hee. Joon-tae, who voluntarily went to the police station to tell them the truth, left the station upon receiving Yeong-min’s call. Tae-su saw him leaving without interrogation.
While Sung-hee was with Yeong-min, Officer Gu was with her kid. Officer Gu was very emotional towards everyone involved in the case, and this made Eo-jin suspicious of Officer Gu. She went back to the police station from Yeong-min’s place and asked the police officer about Officer Gu.
He told her that he was the brother of a man who was charged with r*pe. He further explained that his brother killed himself, and later the real culprit was found. Therefore, this made Officer Gu so emotional while investigating the case.
In the other scene, Tae-su receives a text from Ha-bin asking why he released Yeong-min. Tae-su was shocked about how she knew it. He quickly rushed home, and at the entrance, he recounted the last meeting with Ji-su.
In the flashback, Tae-su entered the house and saw Ha-bin lying unconscious in her room. Ji-su was lying in the drawing room with broken wine bottles and pills. Ji-su told Tae-su that he was right about Ha-bin. She blamed Ha-bin for Ha-jun’s death.
Tae-su refuted this claim, and he decided to take his daughter with him. He told Ji-su that if she wanted to die, then she must die alone, as she was going to kill her daughter. Ji-su made Tae-su promise that he would never tell this to Ha-bin.
In the present, Ha-bin asked him why he left Yeong-min. Tae-su countered, saying how she knew about it. But she refused to disclose the man’s identity.
Tae-su told her that Ji-su killed Lee Su-hyeon, and she killed herself out of guilt. Therefore, he released Yeong-min to save Ji-su’s name. Ha-bin wasn’t able to believe him. But Tae-su left the house. After a while, the man who claimed to be Song Min-a’s father took Ha-bin to Yeong-min’s secret hideout.
Yeong-min, on the other hand, called Tae-su and asked him to meet him. Yeong-min was planning to tell Tae-su everything he knew. But when he was leaving, Ha-bin suddenly attacked him. She tied him and questioned him if her mother really killed Lee Su-hyeon.
Yeong-min told her that Ji-su just buried the body, but it was Ha-bin who actually killed Su-hyeon. Listening to this, Ha-bin ran away. Yeong-min informed Tae-su that Ha-bin now knew everything. Tae-su rushed to Yeong-min’s location.
The man who claimed to be Song Min-a’s father was actually Joon-tae’s father. He followed Ha-bin and saw his son, Joon-tae, at the location. Joon-tae recalled the scene where he was strangling Lee Su-hyeon. But his father wasn’t ready to accept that he killed her.
Towards the end of Doubt's sixth episode, Tae-su reached Yeong-min’s hideout, and soon police also reached there. Police discovered his location while interrogating his gang members.
Tae-su entered the room, and he saw Yeong-min’s body lying on the floor with blood all around. He was seemingly dead. Nearby, he saw Ha-bin standing with her hands covered in blood. This is where episode 6 of Doubt ended.
