On October 18, 2024, Stray Kids' ninth mini-album ATE was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling over 500,000 units. The eight-member K-pop group earned their seventh RIAA gold certification. On October 18, they also took to their official X account, expressing gratitude to the fandom STAYs for their continued love and support.

For those unversed, the band released their record ATE on July 19, 2024, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The record featured eight tracks, including Mountains, Chk Chk Boom, Jjam, I Like It, Runners, Twilight, Stray Kids, and Chk Chk Boom (festival version).

Subsequently, the news about the group's latest milestone went viral on social media, and the fandom could not contain their excitement. One X user tweeted,

"Wow every day is a bliss for STAYs!!! 7th RIAA for Stray Kids!! Billboard entries, album sales verified with the RIAA certifications can only be done by organic growth and it's so rare now in the industry. Well done Boys."

Some STAYs mentioned the efforts of United States fans. Others mentioned that the group achieved the milestone within three months of the album's release, calling it a "masterpiece."

Internet users further praised the group's success with ATE. One user also stated they were elated to see "K-pop making significant strides" in the US.

More about Stray Kids

The South Korean K-pop boy band was formed by JYP Entertainment through a 2017 reality show. The group features eight members, including Lee Know, Bang Chan, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Changbin, Seungmin, and I.N. They have been active in the industry since 2018 and are associated with labels such as JYP Entertainment, Epic Japan, and Republic Records.

The band released their unofficial debut extended play, Mixtape, in January 2018. They subsequently made their official debut on March 25, 2018, with the extended play I Am Not. They also released EPs I Am Who and I Am You, concluding the I Am EP series.

Subsequently, they released their first studio album, Go Live, in 2020, which became the group's first record to be platinum-certified by the Korea Music Content Association. The band's discography includes Noeasy, 5-Star, The Sound, Giant, Unveil Stray Kids, SKZ2020, SKZ2021, SKZ-Replay, In Life, Oddinary, Circus, Maxident, Rock-Star, Christmas Evel, I Am You, and other tracks.

The band has bagged multiple accolades, including ten Asia Artist Awards, eight The Fact Music Awards, and five Circle Chart Music Awards. They also won multiple Golden Disc Awards, Hanteo Music Awards, Japan Gold Disc Awards, and one award each at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the People's Choice Awards as of October 2024.


In recent news, the group has embarked on their third world tour, DominATE, supporting their ninth mini album, ATE.
