Jungkook’s Standing Next To You has been selected for a dance emote in the game Fortnite. On August 7, 2024, a new dance emote was introduced in the game featuring choreography from the star's hit song.

This marks a significant milestone as it is the first time a BTS member’s solo song choreography has been included in a game as an emote. Players can purchase this emote using V-Bucks, Fortnite's in-game currency. One of the fans commented:

"Each & every jk's song is literally a trend itself. its so crazy for a kpop artist"

BTS fans have flooded this news with comments appreciating the song's impact.

"Watch me get fornite just to make my avatar do this dance," a fan said.
"That's how an ORGANIC and POPULAR song moves," a fan remarked.
"Guess who literally went into fornite just to get this. I even had to buy v bucks. Idc tbh I have all BTS related dances," another fan revealed.

Some other fans had other creative things to say about this,

“I have never spent vbucks that fast," a fan revealed.
“Snty’s dance break is iconic,” a fan claimed.
"Now that’s just globally amazing," a fan exclaimed.
“Please someone tell Jungkook that fortnite featured his song 'standing next to you' it’s a new dance emote,” a fan curious if the singer himself knows.

Jungkook's Standing Next To You receives another recognition

Fortnite dancing emotes are animated gestures that players can use in the game to express themselves, celebrate victories, or simply have fun. These emotes often involve various dance moves that players can activate at any time during the game. Jungkook’s Standing Next To You emote adds to this repertoire, bringing his dynamic choreography to the gaming world.

Standing Next To You serves as the title song for Jungkook's debut solo album GOLDEN and is one of his most successful tracks. It had quickly become the fastest song by a K-pop soloist to surpass 500 million streams on Spotify.

Following the addition of this emote, many Fortnite players who were previously unaware of the song started commenting on its music video, praising both the song and the dance.

BTS choreography has been used in video games before. Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, previously added the Dynamite emote, featuring dance moves from BTS' hit song Dynamite. Additionally, BTS has been featured in Just Dance, a rhythm game series by Ubisoft. Songs like Dynamite and Boy With Luv have been included in various editions of the game, allowing players to dance along to BTS' choreographies.
