On December 3, the magazine Rolling Stone shared a list titled "The 100 Best Songs of 2024," which included tracks from multiple K-pop artists. It featured BLACKPINK's Lisa's New Woman (feat. Rosalia), NewJeans' How Sweet, Rosé and Bruno Mars' APT, and ENHYPEN's XO (Only if You Say Yes).

The list placed ENHYPEN at 97 and BLACKPINK's Lisa at the 70th place on the list. The 35th position was bagged by NewJeans while Rosé and Bruno's collab song got them the 21st place on the publication's list.

The publication described 2024 as a pop year filled with unimaginable things that occurred. They stated that every genre of the song was booming as Shaboozey spent fifteen weeks at the Number one position while Tinashe, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift ruled the music industry with their memorable tracks.

ENHYPEN secured the 97th place with their track XO (Only if You Say Yes), which was released on July 12, 2024, through Belift Lab. It was part of the band's second studio album titled Romance: Untold. The group was described as "one of the fastest-rising K-pop bands" featuring an international line-up and sound that sometimes veered into dark drama.

BLACKPINK's Lisa occupied 70th place on the list with her track New Woman (feat. Rosalia). The outlet mentioned that the female artist made big strides this year by releasing her first solo music since 2021 before the unveiling of her forthcoming record, Alter Ego. It was released on August 16, 2024, through Lloud and RCA Records.

Subsequently, the rising K-pop girl group NewJeans made it to the list at No. 35 with their single How Sweet, released on May 24, 2024, through ADOR. The publication mentioned that since the band's debut in 2022, they introduced sounds and genres that were not generally found in K-pop. They added that with the contrasting high-energy electro-pop beat and bright echoey vocals, the members' talent is highlighted as they sing.

How Sweet's lyrics were intended to convey being liberated from a bad situation and are described as "experimental," "original," and "fresh."

Lastly, BLACKPINK's Rosé and Bruno Mars' APT occupied the 21st place. The outlet described the origination of the K-pop track, explaining that the female artist taught the crew a Korean drinking game titled APT in the studio for a solo session one night. She suggested using "apateu," a chant from the game, as a catchy hook for the song.

The other foreign artists who made it to Rolling Stone's "The 100 Best Songs of 2024" list included Sabrina Carpenter with Taste, Clairo with Juna, Lady Gaga with Disease, Raye with Genesis, Kendrick Lamar with Euphoria, Ariana Grande with We Can't Be Friends, and more.

In recent news, BLACKPINK's Lisa and Rosé are slated to release their forthcoming albums, which are Alter Ego and Rosie, on February 28, 2025, and December 6, 2024, respectively.

NewJeans members—Danielle, Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein—recently held a press conference on November 28, 2024, where they officially declared the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR.
