On June 17, 2024, Bighit Music officially announced the release date of BTS' Jimin's second solo album, Muse on Weverse. The idol's album, Muse, would be released in two physical versions with different cover designs, including Blooming and Serenade.

Releasing on July 19, Muse would document BTS' Jimin's journey of discovering the source of his inspiration and would include seven tracks. It also incorporates the idol's fan song Closer Than This, released in December 2023. The album would also have an additional Weverse album version.

While the first version of Muse, Blooming, was seemingly in greenish blue or aqua color, the second version of the album, Serenade, radiated a vibe of a sunflower and was painted in the yellow palette. Both versions would feature the contents, including a package box, CD Sleeve, CD-R, Photobook, Music Card set, folded set, instant photo, coaster, sticker pack, and a photo card.
