Following the release of the new season, rumors about the Squid Game-inspired like button on X surfaced on the internet. Several X users claimed that Elon Musk, the owner of X Corporation, has changed the like button for Squid Game on X.
These viral claims were soon debunked by another page on X, @hashmojis, which is the dedicated social media handle that provides updates on custom likes features. As per the latest updates, Elon Musk’s X has offered Squid Game-themed hashmojis, which are the icons/images next to the hashtag. It’s not a customized like button animation as per viral claims.

The dedicated hashmojis represent the masked men from the Netflix show. The masked men, also referred to as Staff or Pink Soldiers, are the primary antagonists in the Netflix original series. They are a secretive group of figures in charge of managing the game, and they disguise their identities with pink hoods and flat black masks.
Each mask features a square, circle, or triangle to indicate each person's authority. They are directed by an unidentified individual known simply as the Front Man, who monitors the game.
