On July 14, 2024, fans sent protest trucks outside the HYBE building over ENHYPEN's Jungwon's health issue and recent fashion statement. The fandom urged HYBE's sub-label BELIFT LAB to divert their attention to the artist's health and change his styling. The following phrases were displayed on the truck, as translated by allkpop:
"Fans will be with Jungwon always. Please distribute song parts fairly. Please pay greater attention to Jungwon's hair and makeup."
The group made a comeback with the release of their second full-length album, Romance Untold, and its title track, XO (Only If You Say Yes), on July 12, 2024. The funk and synth-pop record featured ten tracks, including Moonstruck, XO (Only If You Say Yes), Your Eyes Only, Hundred Broken Hearts, Brought The Heat Back, Paranormal, Royalty, Highway 1009, XO (Only If You Say Yes) (English Ver.) (feat. JVKE), and Highway 1009 (Narr Ver.).
Subsequently, some fans expressed their outrage regarding Jungwon's health and styling following the group's comeback and recent world tour, Fate Plus.
Fans want BELIFT LAB to prioritize the health of ENHYPEN member Jungwon
The fandom accused BELIFT LAB of neglecting the health of ENHYPEN members, especially Jungwon. They stated that during ENHYPEN's recent world tour, Fate Plus, the group had to travel consecutively for five months, which might have created severe health problems for the members.
The fandom also cited that the group's comeback did not justify Jungwon's presence. They called out the agency to equally distribute the chorus of the tracks and pay heed to Jungwon's hair and makeup style. They openly expressed their disappointment in the male artist's makeover for the latest comeback with the title track XO (Only If You Say Yes).
Jungwon's fanbase, Edens, sent two huge trucks painted in black outside the HYBE building (the parent company of BELIFT LAB), which featured the following phrases, as translated by allkpop:
"BELIFT needs to prioritize artists' health. Though the members are at an age when they can recover quickly, they have spent 5 months only to endure more pain. Jungwon is doing so well. Fans will be with Jungwon always. Please distribute song parts fairly. Please pay greater attention to Jungwon's hair and makeup."
While the first truck was sent to protest against the company and demand better treatment for the idol, the second truck was to cheer up Jungwon and showcase their support for the K-pop idol, which featured the following words, as translated by X user @lililicue:
"Jungwon, on any stage, is always the center that shines the most in Eden's heart. Jungwon always does well, you are a valuable figure for us. C-edens always with Jungwon."
The seven-member group ENHYPEN features Sunghoon, Jay, Jake, Sunoo, Heeseung, Jungwon, and Ni-ki. The band was formed through the survival show I-land and debuted with the extended play Border: Day One on November 30, 2020.
