On Sunday, December 1, JTBC Newsroom’s YouTube channel released a full-length exclusive interview with BLACKPINK's Rosé. During the interview, the K-pop star talked about her recently released song APT, which was made in collaboration with American musician Bruno Mars.
She also spoke about her upcoming solo album, Rosie, as well as her future plans following its release. Rosé placed greater emphasis on her performances while discussing her post-album release plans. She disclosed that her future goal is to create special shows and stages.
“Well, primarily now when the album comes out, I would say that my next dream is to create performances and stages that I am fully satisfied with. There’s some things I worry about and I have rather high expectations for myself and my work, so whenever I get inspiration for something I immediately want to implement it that way," she said.
She went on to say that she would like to focus on the performances of her latest songs from the soon-to-be-released album Rosie.
"The dream after that, not sure, but for now it’s good performances of my new songs… Soon, we’ll be able to meet soon. Yeah.. I’ll try and work very hard on that," Rosé stated.

In the interview, Rosé stated that collaborating with Bruno Mars was exciting and that he helped her and motivated her a lot. Rosé further disclosed that when she told Bruno of her plan to appear on the news, he asked her to say, “Bruno Mars is the best.”
Consequently, BLACKPINK's Rosé gave a shoutout to Bruno Mars during the interview.
“Bruno, you’re the greatest, I said it on TV… He’s really going to like it,” she said.
When the interviewer asked BLACKPINK's Rosé about the kiss scene in APT. The idol also touched upon the backstory of her kiss scene shown in the music video. She explained that it was Bruno's idea. Bruno said it would be weird if he kissed her, which persuaded Rosé to kiss him.
BLACKPINK's Rosé and Bruno Mars’ APT came out on October 18, 2024. This track was the first pre-release for the idol’s upcoming album Rosie, which will be dropped on December 6. The song became a sensation as it broke several records on YouTube and other streaming platforms.
APT became YouTube's fastest collab music video to touch 300 million views. From October 18, 2024, until November 9, 2024, the music video reached this milestone in 22 days, six hours, and 30 minutes. The music video became the sixth-fastest YouTube MV to reach 300 million views. On November 21, APT ranked number one on Billboard Japan Hot 100.
Bruno and Rosé also attended the 2024 MAMA Awards together on November 22, where they received the Global Sensation Award for their collaboration.
