On Friday. September 13, the Seoul Bangbae Police Station released a report that the former NCT member Taeil's s*x crime case has been moved to prosecution. Previously, the police revealed that the case was under investigation, and the recent updates showcase that the investigations have come to an end.
Regardless, the nature of the idol's crime and the exact charges regarding the same have not been revealed yet. Here's what the latest update from the Seoul Bangbae Police Station read:
"We are unable to tell you the specific charges or the specific number of victims as the case has not been filed with the prosecution. It is correct that the case was sent to the prosecution on the 12th without detention."
On the other hand, on August 28, SM Entertainment announced that Taeil was removed from NCT, the K-pop boy group. The statement expressed that the agency was not aware of the case and the idol's crimes. However, on the revelation of the same, they made a mutual decision for Taeil to exit NCT. Regardless, his contract with SM Entertainment has not been terminated.

On August 28, SM Entertainment released a statement announcing the removal of Taeil from NCT.
Here is what the statement read:
"This is SM Entertainment. We have recently confirmed that Taeil has been accused in a criminal case related to a s*x crime. While investigating the facts related to this matter, we recognized the severity of the incident and therefore determined that he could no longer continue his group activities."
Their statement continued,
"As a result, we decided in a discussion with the idol that he would leave the group. Currently, Taeil is cooperating earnestly with the police investigations and we will provide additional statements according to the progress of the investigation. We deeply apologize for the trouble caused by our artist."
Following the announcement, the police confirmed that the idol was investigated on August 29 and has been charged with his crimes. On the other hand, all his fellow NCT members and the official Instagram pages of NCT and NCT 127 have now unfollowed him on Instagram.
The idol has also lost over a million followers on Instagram following the land of his s*x crimes and has been consistently losing followers ever since. Given that the idol's comment sections were being flooded with criticism from netizens for the idol's actions, he has made his account private as of September 5.
On the other hand, the other NCT members have been trying to support their fans during this time. The members' Mark and Haechan sent messages to fans through their Bubble accounts while Doyoung shared his thoughts to the fans during his recent solo concet in Tokyo.
While fans have been sad and disappointed in the idol, they've also been supporting the other NCT members who were possibly oblivious to the former NCT member's crimes.
