Police reportedly shared an update on Taeil's charges

According to a report in Chosun on August 28, 2024, the police agency in charge of Taeil's s*xual assault charges stated that the case doesn't involve any minor of the same gender. The agency, Bangbae Police Station in Seoul, confirmed that they were investigating the 30-year-old K-pop idol on the charges of s*xual offense.

It was also reported that the female victim filed a report against the K-pop idol in June 2024. Meanwhile, SM Entertainment was allegedly embroiled in the allegations of sweeping the details of Taeil’s indictment under the rug. The agency reportedly responded that they were unaware of the investigation and denied hiding the details of his charges.

According to Chosun's report, SM Entertainment stated that it first learned about the accusation against Taeil in mid-August. The police investigated the idol on August 28, 2024.

It is worth noting that SM Entertainment has shared no additional details about Taeil's charges.
