On Tuesday, October 15, NewJeans' Hanni was present at the South Korean National Assembly audit along with the new CEO of ADOR, Kim Ju-young, to address concerns about workplace harassment. Following the same, several pictures of the idol at the audit began to take over the internet across many social media platforms.
One of the pictures included her taking a selca with the Hanwha Ocean CEO, Jeong In-seop, who was summoned to the audit for the deaths of five workers that took place at the working site. Others were the audit members' having NewJeans stickers on their laptops, Hanni crying while talking at the audit, and more.

During the livestream, Hanni talked about the disrespect she faced at the hands of her company's staff members at HYBE Labels. Therefore, when the idol attended the National Assembly, she not only reiterated the issue but also spoke more about it in the context of workplace harassment.
"I talked about the incident on the live broadcast with the NewJeans members previously. While getting my hair and make-up done I greeted a member of other team, and when I came out again, their manager told them to ignore me as if they hadn't seen me. "
She continued:
"I don't understand why I had to face this, and I don't understand why such things were said in a working environment. So I came today because I know that if I didn’t, this topic would be buried and these type of things may continue happening in the future, and I believe that this should not happen to colleagues, seniors, juniors, or trainees.”
