He also released the unseen clip on his show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and revealed that he met Jimin and listened to the song before its release. Fallon re-posted that clip on July 26, which went viral online on July 30.
For the uninitiated, the BTS star had pre-recorded a performance video of his album's title track, WHO, to be played on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Since the BTS singer-songwriter enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023, he pre-recorded and pre-filmed videos beforehand.

The album reached No. 1 across 87 countries on the iTunes Worldwide Album chart on the first day of its release. Its title tune, WHO, reached No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart in over 112 countries within a day of its debut, becoming the fastest track by a Korean solo artist to achieve this feat in 2024.
On July 21, the album's pre-release song, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. It became the fastest song by a Korean solo artist to establish this milestone in 2024.
On July 30, WHO debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. Furthermore, the song entered at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his sixth solo entrant on the chart, along with Like Crazy, Vibe, Set Me Free Pt. 2, Angle Pt 1, and Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco).
In other news, BTS Jimin will return from the South Korean military in June 2025 after fulfilling 18 months of mandatory service. He is reportedly deployed at the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA).
