Lee Si-an, a former Produce 48 and Idol School contestant, has created a buzz online with her appearance on Netflix's popular South Korean dating show, Single's Inferno 4. On January 14, 2025, Netflix unveiled the first four episodes of the reality dating show where young men and women come to find love on a stranded island.
Before Single's Inferno 4, in 2017, Lee Si-an appeared on Idol School, a reality survival program by Mnet that formed the 9-member girl group Fromis_9. This was followed by her appearance on Produce 48, another girl group survival show, which produced the renowned temporary girl group IZ*ONE in 2018.
Lee Si-an caught viewers attention as many were surprised to learn that she was a former idol trainee who had appeared on two survival shows before. This was because many of her fans and viewers of the idol survival program found her appearance unrecognizable. They were unable to recall her as many years have passed since the two shows aired.

Additionally, it is uncommon to see K-pop idols contest in reality dating shows, and fans perceived she would debut as a K-pop singer. However, currently, the former Stone Music Entertainment trainee works as a freelance model, as per her Instagram. Fans took to X to show their excitement on seeing her on Single's Inferno 4 and also shared that they would root for her.

Former Produce 8 contestant Lee Si-an reveals why she participated in Single's Inferno 4
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Netflix unveiled the initial episodes of the highly anticipated dating reality show Single's Inferno 4. Lee Si-an was the first female contestant introduced on the show, where she opened up as to why she appeared on Single's Inferno 4.
“I've been in relationships constantly, but I applied because I want to experience a passionate relationship right now since I don't have a boyfriend. I want to experience a passionate relationship. A relationship where emotions are swept away. I think my charming points are my cat-like eyes, kissable lips, and body line,” she said.
She further spoke about the kind of relationship and the partner she was looking for.
“I'm the type to approach someone I like first, and I've never failed in a relationship. The person I want to meet in ‘Single's Inferno 4' is someone who is strong on the inside. That's because I have to have a turbulent relationship with him,” she added.
Besides Lee Si-an, the show also features dancer Chung You-jin, model Bae Ji-yeon, Kim Hye-jin and Kim A-rin, and actress Kim Min-seol. The male cast includes actors Yuk Jun-seo, Kim Tae-hwan, and Jang Theo; accountant Kook Dong-ho; and cafe owner Kim Jeong-su.
